12 Lead ECG Electrode “Glove”

One of the most difficult premises in obtaining 12 lead ECG tracing in mobile or telehealth applications is the requirement of 10 properly spaced electrodes.  One company, IneedMD has come up with a novel solution which should be categorized under the category of “why didn’t I think of that”.  Indeed, IneedMD has devised a “glove” that contains all ten electrodes configured in a Mason-Likar  lead placement configuration. While this electrode “glove” will make it much easier to place on a patient in emergent situations, the jury is out with regard to repeatability in varying patient sizes and comparison to conventionally placed 12 lead ECG electrodes.
